Start With the Task Everyone Hates

Want your team to actually embrace AI? Don't start with the important task. Start with the task everyone hates.

Every business has one: the weekly report nobody wants to compile, the data entry everyone dreads, the inbox that eats Friday afternoons. It's low-status work, it's boring, and that's exactly why it's perfect. Nobody's ego is attached to it. Nobody will fight you for the old way of doing it.

When AI takes the hated task and does it well, something shifts. The skeptics don't become believers because of a presentation — they become believers because their least favorite hour of the week just disappeared. Enthusiasm you can't manufacture walks in on its own.

Then, and only then, move to the important tasks — with a team that's already seen the tool work, already trusts it a little, and already knows how to check its output.

Adoption isn't about the best use case. It's about the first win. Make the first win easy, visible, and sweet. Start with the task everyone hates.
