Myth: The EU AI Act Kills Small Business AI
I love small businesses, so let's kill a myth: the EU AI Act does not kill small-business AI.
Think about what a small business actually uses AI for. Scheduling appointments. Managing inventory. Drafting marketing copy. Answering routine customer questions. Every one of these is minimal risk under the Act, which means no new duties at all.
The heavy rules target high-stakes decisions about people's jobs, education, credit, and freedom. That's not the corner bakery's chatbot or the salon's booking assistant.
And where small businesses do touch higher-risk uses, the Act includes lighter-touch provisions and sandbox programs designed with smaller players in mind. The law knows the difference between a startup and a conglomerate.
Use AI to run your business better. Just know which tier you're in.
