A Privacy Review in One Page

A privacy review sounds intimidating. It doesn't have to be. One honest page, written before the project starts, will do.

Here are the lines on that page. What data are we using? Whose data is it? Why do we need it, in one sentence? How long are we keeping it? Who gets to see it and the outputs? What could go wrong for the people in the data? What are we doing to prevent that?

That's it. Seven questions, plain words, no legalese.

Do it before the project starts, not after it launches. Revisit it when the project changes direction, because projects always change direction.

Nobody ever regretted thinking clearly for one page. Plenty of teams have regretted skipping it.
